The Genting Dream is one of Asia's best-known cruise ships, sailing from Singapore to ports like Penang and Langkawi. If it's your first cruise, here's what to know.
How the trip works
You fly to Singapore, board the ship at the cruise terminal and sail for a few nights, waking up in a new port most mornings. Many travellers add 2–3 nights in Singapore before or after.
What's included
- Your cabin (inside, ocean view or balcony)
- Main meals at the included restaurants
- Pools, shows, kids' clubs and most onboard entertainment
Speciality restaurants, drinks, the casino, Wi-Fi and shore excursions usually cost extra.
Visa for Indians
Because the cruise departs from Singapore, Indians need a Singapore visa. Malaysian port calls are currently visa-free for Indians. We arrange the visa paperwork with your package.
Food onboard
There are vegetarian and Indian options on board, so it suits Indian families well.
Cost
Our Genting Dream packages start from about ₹80,000 per couple including flights. Cabin type and sailing date make the biggest difference to price.
Tips for first-time cruisers
- Choose a balcony cabin if you can: it changes the whole experience.
- Reach the terminal early on boarding day.
- Carry a small bag for the first day; main luggage arrives at your cabin later.
- Book shore excursions in advance for popular ports.
Prices are indicative starting prices and change with dates and availability. Visa rules change often; we confirm the latest when you book.
